I’ve sponsored Viv 10p a mile for her incredible 47 mile Mary Townley run challenge. Viv has set herself a target of raising £500 for one of her chosen charities and I couldn’t help but put my name on the list of sponsors.
Here is what Viv had to say about the challenge:
I can’t promise there won’t be some walking, but i will do it. Hopefully there will be some friends with me for part of it, and probably a lot of flapjack. When it hurts i’ll think of what other people have gone through and try to remember that this is nothing in comparison.
Are you able to sponsor me 10p per mile (that’s £4.70) to help smash this target?
Please give a little for this very worthy cause if you can (and share with your friends) : http://www.justgiving.com/getoutandgive-fft
Viv’s dedication to raising money for Freedom From Torture and the Booth Centre in Manchester is unbelievable and inspiring. If you are reading this don’t be shy to put your name on the list of sponsors – http://www.justgiving.com/getoutandgive-fft
UPDATE: Viv completed the 47 mile Mary Townley Loop on the 21st December 2013. You can read her story about completing the challenge here – http://141chars.wordpress.com/2013/12/22/mt-loop-run-2013/
